Obama visits NYC

El jueves el Presidente Obama se encontraba en la ciudad. Por lo que había oido días atrás iba a visitar la Zona Cero y revisar el estado de las obras. Pero al mediodía nos enteramos de que por la noche iría a casa de Sarah Jessica Parker, ya que la actriz celebraba una fiesta para recaudar fondos en su apartamento!! Y quién vive al lado de la actriz de Sexo en Nueva York?! Nosotros!!! Así que a las 6 de la tarde cogí mi cámara y como unos auténticos paparazzi nos dirigimos a la zona del evento. Pero no pudimos llegar a Charles St., que es donde vive nuestra vecina Sarah, ya que la policía se encontraba por todas partes y todas la calles estaban valladas. Así que nos quedamos en una de las calles paralelas más cercana a la vivienda.

On Thursday, President Obama was in town. I knew he was going to visit World Trade Center to review rebuilding. But at noon we heard that on the night he would be in Sarah Jessica Parker's house, because the actress celebrated a charity party in her apartment! And who lives next to the Sex and the City actress?! Us! 
So at 6 pm as a real paparazzi I took my camera and went to the event. But we couldn't get to Charles St., where our neighbor Sarah lives, because the police were everywhere and all the streets were fenced. So we had to stop in one of the nearest street we could.

Tras una hora de espera, empezamos ha oír el sonido de los helicópteros, eso significaba que el Presidente estaba llegando!
We were waiting one hour and then we started to hear the sound of helicopters, this meant that the President was coming!

Coches y motos de policía por todos lados.

Police cars and motocycles were everywhere.

Los agentes de seguridad empezaron a gritar a la gente que se asomaba por las ventanas que las cerraran y volvieran al interior de sus viviendas.

Security agents began to shout at people leaning out the windows to close and return into their homes.

The police was on the roofs

Y tras tanto caos... No pudimos ver nada de nada!

And finally, after all that chaos... We couldn't see anything!

Cuando vimos que dos camiones bloquearon la calle donde se celebraba la fiesta, nos dimos cuenta que Barack Obama ya había llegado...

When we saw two trucks blocked the street where they celebrated the party, we realized that Barack Obama had arrived ...

Así que pasado el peligro pudimos cruzar Charles St. y ver un poco que sucedía en esta calle.
